A key argument for that project among Flint/Genesee County stakeholders has been the long-unfulfilled need for improvements to the Flint Loop, and the unreliability of Flint's water supply without such improvements. If that funding went forward, it would seem to undercut the fundamental need for Karegnondi. <br /><br />The general understanding, I think, is that the mysteriously sourced cash carried by Sam Riddle to Victor Mercado of DWSD was intended to elicit a discontinuance of Flint Loop improvements, so as to strengthen the case for Jeff Wright's Karegnondi project.
